Herbal Remedies Information - Part III

It has been reported that the list of herbs and their uses is much appreciated by readers.  One Christian writer states, "The true method for healing the sick is to tell them of the herbs that grow for the benefit of man. Scientists have attached large names to these simplest preparations, but true education will lead us to teach the sick that they need not call in a doctor any more than they would call in a lawyer. They can themselves administer the simple herbs if necessary." {PH144 13. 1} Herbs, when used with understanding, provide a safe and powerful alternative to poisonous drug therapy. 7 SHATTERPROOF Principles For Understanding or Interpreting The Bible

There are many people who believe that the Bible can be made to support any idea, belief, philosophy, actions or words. To a certain degree they are correct. As long as there are no rules of interpretation the Bible and ANY BOOK for that matter, can be made to mean and represent anything that suits individual tastes and preferences. Fortunately, for the sincere hearted who are honestly trying to understand the Bible, there are seven INHERENT or (BUILT-IN) interpretation principles which determine whether the Bible will be understood by the person reading it.

1. CONTRADICTION - The only way to prove that the Bible contradicts itself is to refuse to let the Bible explain itself. (Many other books are often used to try and interpret and understand the Bible instead of allowing the Bible to explain itself by comparing scripture with scripture. Even in courts of law and justice, a man on trial is given an opportunity to speak for himself. Scripture must be compared with Scripture in order to ascertain the meanings.)

2. CONTEXT - A TEXT without CONTEXT is a PRETEXT to reject TEXT. (Verses separated from the context in which they are found provide a basis for rejecting them. The Bible reveals principles in its verses and every valid principle has other verses which establish it.)

3. MOTIVE - The motive for reading the Bible determines whether a person will understand or misunderstand the Bible.

a) the wrong motive for reading the Bible = the wrong understanding
or a misunderstanding of the Bible

b) the right motive for reading the Bible = the right or the correct
understanding of the Bible

4. CHRIST – The reflection of God's character is seen in Jesus Christ as stated by Himself and revealed in His life. Any interpretation of the Bible that claims to represent the character of God must be compared to the character of Christ to be tested for truthfulness. (Understanding God in the Old Testament is easier when the Christ who revealed His character in the New Testament is accepted.)

5. REASONIf a high opinion of human reason is cherished and exalted then the reasoning of God in the Bible cannot be appreciated or understood. (If the human mind believes it is the greatest mind there is no room or tolerance for a greater Mind)

6. GUIDANCE - The Person Who inspired the Bible is the Person who must be communicated with in prayer in order to understand the Bible. (A simple prayer to God for understanding before opening the Bible will make it possible to undertand.)

7. EXPERIENCE - The test of personal experience will shed light on the Bible if there is a willingness on the part of the individual to practice the right principles of the Bible. (This test is open to anyone. An application of the principles of moral excellence in the Bible is impossible without God's help but if aided by divine grace the principles of right in the Bible when actually practiced in the life will lead to the development of a Christ-like character giving evidence of the Bible's divine origin.)

Wedding Invitation From A King: A VIEW OF THE JUDGMENT

A king prepared a wedding banquet for his son. Long before the feast, the invitations had been given; and when the supper was ready, the servants went to call the guests. But those bidden did not appreciate the invitation.

"They all with one consent began to make excuse. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground, and I must needs go and see it: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I go to prove them: I pray thee have me excused. And another said, I have married a wife, and therefore I can not come."

The king had sent forth servants to gather everyone who had been given a wedding invitation but they would not come. He sent forth other servants to the invited ones with the message that dinner was prepared and everything is ready. “Come to the marriage” was the message.

Two of those who were invited, one a farmer and the other a seller of merchandise, made fun of the message and continued on with their preoccupations. The others who had received invitations took the king’s servants and were hostile towards them. They physically abused them, disrespected them and finally killed them.

When the king heard about it, he was very, very angry. He sent forth his armies and they destroyed the murderers and burned up their city. The king then said to his remaining servants, “The wedding is ready but those who were invited did not come. Go out into the highways and as many as you can find, invite them to the wedding feast.

So those servants went out into the highways and gathered together as many people as they could find both good and bad. Thus the wedding was furnished with guests and the guests were provided with special wedding garments.

It was a mixed company. Some of them had no more real regard for the giver of the feast than had the ones who rejected the call. The class first bidden could not afford, they thought, to sacrifice any worldly advantage for the sake of attending the king's banquet. And of those who accepted the invitation, there were some who thought only of benefiting themselves. They came to share the provisions of the feast, but had no desire to honor the king.

The scene changes. The king comes in to examine the guests; and he sees one who has come to the table without the wedding garment, which he himself has provided for every guest. He is clothed in his old citizen's dress. Why should he insult his lord by refusing to wear the dress that has been prepared for him ? Addressing the one who has thus dishonored him, the king says: "Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment ? And he was speechless.

Then said the king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and cast him into outer darkness.

When the king came in to view the guests, the real character of all was revealed. For every guest at the feast there had been provided a wedding garment. This garment was a gift from the king. By wearing it the guests showed their respect for the giver of the feast.

But one man was clothed in his common citizen dress. He had refused to make the preparation required by the king. The garment provided for him at great cost he disdained to wear. Thus he insulted his lord. To the king's demand, "How camest thou in hither not having a wedding garment?" he could answer nothing. He was self-condemned. There was the wedding garment, provided at great cost, but disegarded, by the self-satisfied one who preferred his own ideas, customs, and practices, and in his self-importance took his seat among the company without the wedding garment. He considered his own garments appropiate for the occasion.

The story of the wedding garment opens before us a lesson of the highest consequence. By the marriage is represented the union of humanity with divinity. The wedding garment represents the character which all must possess who shall be accounted fit guests for the wedding.

The guests at the marriage feast were inspected by the king. Only those were accepted who had obeyed his requirements and put on the wedding garment. So it is with the guests at the gospel feast. All must pass the scrutiny of the great King, and only those are received who have put on the robe of Christ's righteousness. By the king's examination of the guests at the feast is represented a work of judgment.

The guests at the gospel feast are those who profess to serve God, those whose names are written in the book of life. But not all who profess to be Christians are true disciples. Those who do not cooperate with Christ to experience a change in character, though claiming the privilege of being called Christians, have not on the wedding garment. They will share the same fate as the unbelievers who have flatly rejected the King’s invitation to the wedding.

Those who make a profession of faith, and yet remain unchanged in habit and practice, are represented in the parable by the man who came to the feast without a wedding garment. There are many who, while they believe what they read about Christ, do not believe in Christ. They do not receive Him as a personal Savior. Their names may be registered on the Church roll, but they do not bring Christ into the daily life; and God can not accept them. They choose to wear their own garments.

Christ is able to save to the uttermost all who come to Him in faith. He will cleanse them from all defilement if they will let Him. But if they cling to their sins, they cannot possibly be saved; for Christ's righteousness covers no sin unrepented of.

He who is found wanting is cast out, but all who upon examination are seen to have the wedding garment on are accepted of God and accounted worthy of a share in His kingdom and a seat upon His throne. This work of examination of character, of determining who are prepared for the kingdom of God, is that of the investigative judgment. Nothing less than repentance for sin and a genuine working faith in Christ will pass the judgment.

No one can enter into the marriage supper of the Lamb without the righteousness of Christ, the heavenly wedding garment. This garment is the Christ-like character that all must have in order to enjoy heaven and to be trusted in heaven.

Those who have on this wedding garment, this robe of Christ's righteousness, will not question whether they should lift the cross, and follow in the footsteps of the Savior. Willingly and cheerfully they will obey His commands for obedience to Christ is a pleasure when a person loves Him and it develops a Christ-like character.

How can you appear in the last great day without the robe of the righteousness of Christ ? The word is spoken; Why are they here without the wedding garment, which I gave my life to purchase for them ? Take them out of my presence. It is not possible for them to love and enjoy my presence here. They have not educated themselves to be at home in heaven. It would be no place of joy to them. It does not harmonize with their habits and their tastes. Nothing here can harmonize with the characters they have formed.

If you are to sit at Christ's table, and feast on the provisions He has furnished at the marriage supper of the Lamb, you must have a special garment, called the wedding garment, which is the white robe of Christ's righteousness. The righteousness of Christ consists in right actions and good works from pure, unselfish motives. Only by receiving God’s grace daily can you begin and continue to wear this robe. Jesus chose to die to provide an atonement for your sins. He offers to let His perfect character take the place of your sinful character in the judgment. Will you accept Jesus as your Lord and personal Savior right now ? Will you let His love for you soften and subdue your heart and change your character in preparation for a home in heaven ?

FORCED CHEMOTHERAPY

"A Sign of the Times and a Call For Wisdom"
(thanks to Mike Adams for the illustration)

This is where we are in time. The article speaks about the case of a mother who is about to be arrested for refusing to allow her child to receive chemotherapy instead of natural remedies. We must wake up ! Can you see what is happening in America ? Mother and child being hunted down because the STATE DECIDES WHAT IS BEST FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILY !

Forced chemotherapy -

The link to the story is below...
It's almost unbelievable !

A very old book, a long time ago, pointed to developments in this nation as it abandons the principles that once made it strong...

And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon . Revelation 13: 11

BREAKING NEWS: Innocent Homeless Man Brutally Beaten and Murdered For Being Kind and Teaching About Love

According to the published reports, sometime after midnight Friday morning, a homeless Man who went around doing good was surrounded by an armed mob and taken by soldiers to be present for two preliminary hearings conducted by religious extremists and for two unjust trials by two separate judges under secular authority. Both hearings were illegally conducted at night and during the interval between the two hearings the homeless Man was left to the abuse of the mob that had been present on that occasion. He was spit upon, beaten, humiliated and mocked.

Apparently, He was even struck by one of the soldiers for speaking in reply to some charges made against Him. The allegations made against Him were narrowed down to two specific charges. He was accused of treason and a dangerous charismatic lunacy in which He claimed to be God and to know God personally. The Man refused to defend Himself and no one was appointed to represent His case before the state’s court.

Witnesses were brought in who had no acquaintance with the Man and testified falsely that He was perverting the nation. No counter-argument was offered by the homeless One. The judge suspected perjury but deliberately neglected to act in accordance with the law and refused to do justice by immediately dismissing the case as a mistrial on the grounds of the corrupt testimony.

Through some questionable legal maneuver, another man being held, who was a known robber and murderer was brought out and presented alongside the homeless Man and given freedom as requested by the court with a unanimous jury verdict in exchange for a death sentence pronounced upon the homeless Man.

In a startling series of developments the judge’s wife sent a message to the judge testifying to the godly character of the Man on trial. The judge, however, washed his hands as a gesture indicating his own innocence in the matter even as the homeless Man sought to shift the blame from the judge to others who had delivered Him to the judge.

A surprise star witness suddenly appeared to confess that he had been bribed to betray the homeless Man and testified his part in the false proceedings against the innocent Person who looked upon this star witness with pity and refused to be angry with His betrayer or condemn him.

The homeless Man was finally given over into the hands of the mob and then subjected to beatings with glass laden whips by soldiers. His suffering was aggravated when thorns were placed upon His head and he was mocked as king. His hands and feet were nailed to pieces of wood that were fashioned into the shape of a cross and then the whole structure was lifted up by several men and thrust with force into the ground upon a hill called Golgotha.

Witnesses present at the scene say that the homeless Man was heard asking forgiveness for everyone who had a part in the suffering that He was presently experiencing. Further eyewitness reports confirm that He cried out in emotional agony to God asking why He had been forsaken. His last words seemed to indicate some sort of victory as He cried out, “It is finished.”

Entire villages, towns and cities afterward affirmed the excellent character of the crucified One. It was consistently stated that He was always kind and He taught love. Indeed, He was the perfect revelation of love. Jesus Christ died for your sins and mine. Will you accept Him right now as your Lord and Savior ? Invite Him to take control of your thoughts and feelings and cause you to be born again. Ask Him for new motives, new desires and new purposes. If you cooperate with Him He will make it your highest desire to love Him through all eternity and provide you with a character fit for heaven.

A Christ-like character is the only kind of character that can enjoy heaven and a Christ-like character is the only kind of character that can be trusted in heaven. Will you let Christ begin the work of changing your character now ? If you would like to begin this new life as a Christian and you want a Christian to pray with you send an email to education@issues-of-life.com.

How To Recognize Love

Love is the silken cord that binds hearts together. Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it; if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned. (Song of Solomon 8:7) Love is strong as death...(Song of Solomon 8:6)

Beautiful and poetic language has often been used to describe love but what exactly is love ? To know positively what love is, is to be able to distinctly identify what it is not.

UNDERSTANDING WHAT LOVE IS

Is love a feeling, a sentiment or an emotion ? Is it all of these ? Some people honestly don't know. A very devotional Christian author once wrote that "love is an active principle."

She wrote also that..."True love is a high and holy principle." True love is not merely a sentiment or an emotion. It is a living principle, a principle that is manifest in action." This idea of love being a principle is also taught in the Bible.

Love a principle ???

So what is a principle ?

A principle is a rule of behavior that a person chooses to live by. Love is basically a principle ( a rule of behavior that a person chooses to live by) Although feelings, sentiments and emotions are associated with love, because they seem so real to our senses, these are not love in the truest sense of the word. Love is the result of a choice made by a person. Where should we have any reasonable expectations of seeing this principle practiced ?

In the heart renewed by divine grace, love is the ruling principle of action. It is the principle that rules in a converted heart; it is the behavior of choice for every true follower of Christ.

Love is a heavenly attribute. The natural heart cannot originate it. In spite of all the love songs and love stories that have ever been written about human love, the truth of the matter is that real, true, pure love does not have its origin in the human heart. Human love and the principle of genuine love described in the Bible are not the same thing.

When the Bible speaks of love being strong as death it could certainly be speaking of human love but not divine love. Divine love is not as strong as death. Divine love is STRONGER THAN DEATH. After a person dies and is buried, he or she cannot continue to experience any human feelings of love but the divine principle of love which may have been seen in that person's character can actually live on in the hearts of others who were touched by that individual....

But if love is a principle, how will we be able to recognize this love ? By what quality or quantity of words and actions shall we know this love ?

LOVE DOES GOOD AND NOTHING BUT GOOD

How can you know whether you are being loved or being loving ? If someone is doing good to you and nothing but good, that person is loving you. If you do good to others and nothing but good, you are loving them.

God requires that love for Him is to be expressed in doing good. Notice how this thought is stated in one of the oldest books in the world..."But I say unto you, LOVE your enemies, bless them that curse you, DO GOOD to them that hate you...That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: Matthew 5:44,45

"If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink. Proverbs 25:21

There are many who spend their entire lives trying to find happiness. Real happiness is found only in being good and doing good. This is exactly what love consists of. Love does good and nothing but good and it makes a person happy.

The pleasure of doing good to others imparts a glow to the feelings which flashes through the nerves, quickens the circulation of the blood, and induces mental and physical health. Good health is necessary for the enjoyment of life.

You should not use herbs as a means to treat disease or illness unless you have followed these steps first in dealing with symptoms.

1. Ascertain the cause
2. Correct the wrong habits and change the unhealthful conditions

and then...
3. Assist the body to heal itself

The use of herbs should complement obedience to the 8 laws of health. More information about this at www.issues-of-life.com under health issues.

30 WAYS TO DESTROY A NATION

User's Guide - Gold Edition:
30 WAYS TO DESTROY A NATION

Ruining a nation takes time but it can be done. A lot of planning and forethought must take place if it is to be done with a specific purpose in mind. However, a nation can also be ruined without either plan or purpose. Through general and widespread ignorance the disastrous results may be achieved. Before you conclude that this is just some more senseless ranting of a very unhappy gloom bug please note that there is also a User’s Guide – Silver Edition – 30 Ways to Build and Strengthen A Nation. The following list is intended to stimulate thought and reflection and ultimately corrective action.

1. Use the word cynical to describe anyone or anything that leads people to give careful consideration to their present condition and circumstances. Prevent individual critical evaluations by using the word "conspiracy" to invalidate any investigations.

2. Try to make sure everyone knows how to use labels and name-calling to deal with issues. Make it appear that this gets right to the heart of the issue.

3. Teach people that having money and things are the true marks of success in life and that only a college education can guarantee this success.

4. Confuse children about the roles of men and women and re-interpret the meaning of family and marriage to match society's standard each time society changes its viewpoints about family and marriage.

5. Encourage everyone to keep saying, "nobody's perfect" so that imperfection becomes a universal and acceptable standard. Use this standard to test whether or not a person is "down to earth" or "keeping it real".

6. Ridicule moral excellence as an unrealistic, unachievable goal. Only exalt it as an ideal. Make sure everyone is familiar with the phrase "we're only human"

7. Use the phrase "health insurance" to join health and money together in an inseparable union. Use it to mean "money available to pay the expenses incurred because of lost health." Do not actually insure health through adequate education. Encourage people to trust mostly in professional help and make them afraid to self-diagnose their problems.

8. Separate children from their parents at a very young age so that society may have ample time and opportunity to superimpose its identity upon them.

9. Build an economy upon credit, debt and fraud. Lead people to believe that money = happiness.

10. Teach people that introducing poisons into the blood stream by the use of drug medications or vaccinations is the hallmark of an enlightened civilization.

11. Use the word "judgmental" extensively and generously so that people are terrified of making any open comments about anything morally wrong.

12. Assign relative meaning to the term "right and wrong". Make morality dependent upon circumstances or situations.

13. Teach people that there is no intelligence, no planning, no design and no purpose connected with the origin of life. Make sure that this is backed by some form of authority that most people will feel too uneducated to question.

14. Teach people that a variety of peers is of greater consequence to a child's social development than good parenting.

15. Convince people that love is based upon feelings and not principles. Disconnect right principles from right feelings.

16. Blur the distinction between male and female. Obscure gender differences.

17. Constantly expose the human mind to depravity, perversion and immorality and call it reality. Provide it as entertainment and give awards to those who excel in portraying it.

18. Emphasize exposure to wrong-doing as a necessary part of children's education and healthy psychological development.

19. Use television shows, movies, magazines, etc. to instigate and perpetuate hostility, alienation and misunderstanding between male and female, rich and poor and black and white. Cause as many people as possible to regard division as inevitable.

20. Continually draw attention to a person's skin color if it is different or not part of a majority group.

21. Apply a label to anyone and everyone who enthusiastically supports the constitution. Call them nuts or extremist. Make it appear odd to actually uphold the constitution.

22. Use every national crisis as a pretext for minimizing personal freedoms and civil liberties. Make this appear absolutely necessary in order to secure peace and safety.

23. Teach people that "living for the moment" and "experiencing now" are the most important things in life.

24. Teach people that personal decisions depend upon circumstances and not principles. Principles should always be viewed as flexible.

25. Make doubt a means of education. Always attach doubt and uncertainty to as many issues as possible.

26. Exalt human reason as the most reliable means and final determining principle for discovering the truth about the existence of God. Make science the ultimate arbiter in all matters unknown.

27. Promote a false sense of societal advancement through the multiplication of electronic devices and by magnifying the wonders of technology.

28. Distract and confuse minds by supplying an abundance of conflicting and contradictory expert opinions.

29. Teach people that working hard is not as good as working smarter and make sure that people neither work hard nor smarter by exporting jobs out of the nation.

30. Saturate all forms of media with sex so that a preoccupation with physical pleasure seems normal and even right. Detach sex from anything pure or meaningful. Make it a common place and overstimulating subject by excessive promotion through all varieties of audio and visual media outreach and publications.

Is our nation being ruined by these principles ? What will be the ultimate outcome when all 30 of these have been fully implemented ? Are we unwittingly helping to achieve these goals ? What we need are ways to build and strengthen our nation. Stay tuned for suggestions.
